Freeport Community Services Chowdah Challenge
Saturday, October 6th
11:00 – 2pm
Porch of the L.L.Bean Home store

The 25th Annual Freeport Community Services Chowdah Challenge! Come join us in the most delicious event of the year.  A fantastic day at the L.L.Bean Home store where  big crowds of locals and visitors from afar come to sample and vote for Freeport Maine’s best chowder. Each year local restaurants generously donate their traditional and gourmet clam and seafood chowders to benefit Freeport Community Services programs. Ten restaurants will compete for two coveted awards: The People’s Choice Award and the Judges’ Award for “Best Chowdah”. Cost is $10/per person, and all proceeds will go to support FCS.

The public will taste samples from each of the ten restaurants and vote for their favorite chowdah – the winning restaurant will be given the “Judges’ Award and “People’s Choice Award”.
