FCS Chowdah Challenge

Freeport Community Services Chowdah Challenge
Saturday, October 6th
11:00 – 2pm

Come join us in the most delicious event of the year! The 25th Annual Freeport Community Services’ Chowdah Challenge! A fantastic day at L.L.Bean where big crowds of locals and visitors from afar come to sample and vote for Freeport Maine’s best chowder. Each year local restaurants generously donate their traditional and gourmet clam and seafood chowders to benefit Freeport Community Services programs. Ten restaurants will compete for two coveted awards: The People’s Choice Award and the Judges’ Award for “Best Chowdah”.

Cost is $12 and all proceeds will go to support FCS. Save time in line, purchase your ticket online via Paypal.

The public will taste samples from each of the 12 restaurants and vote for their favorite chowdah – the winning restaurant will be given the “Judges’ Award and “People’s Choice Award”.

Last year’s winners were Gritty’s for the Judge’s Choice Award and Freeport Café for the People’s Choice Award. Who will it be this year?
